Linohaupuaokekoʻolau

Mara’s Hawaiian name. Given as the namesake of my Tūtū, Eloise “Lou” Benham Pavich. Translated within my ʻohana to mean, a little yellow flower on the Koʻolau mountains.

Linohau guides my practice. Each of us, child to adult, hold inner beauty and unique stardust. The yellow flower on the Koʻolaus may be fragile and petite in comparison to the mauna; however, each pua holds itʻs unique resilience and strength within. When we look to the Koʻolaus we see majestic beauty; all plants and living creatures become one entity, living in harmony with one another.
